Today’s personal training session was different than others in that I met L over at Latta Park to do an outdoor session. She had her husband, dog, and brand new baby boy with her, so I finally got to meet Baby B! Such a cutie - I was relieved that I didn’t have to lie when I said he was cute - some babies just aren’t…but Baby B is precious! Such a pensive little face…that, or he was about to fall asleep!
Anyway, the workout was tough, particularly because it’s so dang hot in Charlotte! 92 degrees today, though it felt hotter than that. I wasn’t fainty today, which was fantastic because I had kind of expected to be.

I’ve been slacking on P90X workouts this week. My next workout is Yoga, which takes 90+ minutes, which makes it difficult to fit in with my work/play rehearsal schedule. Plus, I’m going to be in Atlanta next week, so I’m really going to have to work hard to stay motivated for workouts, because I consistently slack when work traveling.
In today’s workout, I did the following:
Ball pushups (I did mine today on a smaller Bosu Ball…might be this?)

Single-handed Kettlebell Swings

Single-leg Dumbbell Row (though you can bet your ass I wasn’t doing mine in a bikini on the beach)

Today L walked into training with a foam roller. M would have been so elated. I start my personal training sessions with 5-10 minutes on the treadmill to get warmed up, but because I had just completed a leg workout the day before, she thought it might be good to help me get even more loosened up for our session.

I forgot to post my workout from yesterday with L!
I was feeling pretty beat up from my trip to NYC. Specifically, I pulled the left side of my neck in a HORRENDOUS way on Tuesday and it has been hurting and spazzing out ever since. Plus, I have a MAMMOTH blister on my right heel, making walking and shoes a bit of an issue. Blech. So she was kind to me and chose exercises that wouldn’t irritate either of these issues.
As usual, my brain is mush, so I *think* everything is listed below, in no particular order:

My workout today was a bit tough because I have been slacking off in terms of exercise. Trips to Atlanta make working out a challenge for me, so I need to get back on it or I’m not going to be able to fit into my new clothes I bought after dropping a pant size!!

L was sick last week, so we didn’t meet. So it was good to see her today and get in a great workout! I haven’t exercised since last Tuesday - doh! - so I was definitely panting. I also got the dizzies, which happens to me often, particularly if I don’t exercise consistently. It’s really no fun, and cuts into my workout time :(
To warm up, I ran on the treadmill for about five minutes at 10 min/mile pace. Then, in random order (hopefully not missing any exercises - my brain is always mush after my workouts!!):
Wide Leg Squats

Ball Hamstring Curls
